Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should I start taking my child to see the dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children first see a dentist as early as six months of age and no later than one year. During this time, your son or daughter's baby teeth will be coming in and we can monitor the health of those first few teeth. After the first visit, be sure to schedule regular checkups every six months.
At your child’s first dental appointment, we will take the time to get them familiar with all the equipment and noise they will hear when they come to Royal Family Dental for treatments and cleanings. If they are really young when they come to visit us for the first time, we may simply brush their teeth and take a look around their mouth to make sure they don’t have any cavities.
